New Damariscotta Clock Tower

New Damariscotta Clock Tower

New Damariscotta Clock Tower, seen from the new spire

The front and back sides of the clock tower were left only half-clapped. When we lift the spire into place, we will remove the front and back plates of the clock tower, so that we can place the bed timbers of the spire and bell. These bed timbers run front to back, and sit on a girt at the level where we stopped clapping.
