We performed an assessment and created structural drawings to identify necessary repairs. We then dismantled and tagged the timber frame, repairing damaged framing elements and replacing in kind those that were beyond saving. We scribed our fixes bent by bent and wall by wall. After completing the repairs at our workshop along with making custom barn doors and window boxes, we raised the frame in Boothbay, ME. We also sheathed the roof and installed the doors before handing over the finish work to a local contractor. The barn is now managed by the Boothbay Region Land Trust and serves as a historic landmark within in their system of hiking trails.
